Community Families/Community Mothers


Community Mother Programme is an established Home Visiting Programme providing a suite of supports to parents of children,  age 0 - 5 years.  Community Mothers work from and Infant Mental Health Model.

  • Support and Information re Child Development & Parenting
  • Ante Natal Support
  • Breast Feeding Support
  • Facilitated Mother & Baby Groups
  • Baby Massage
Community Mothers work with a suite of skills, drawing from an Infant Mental Health Programmes (NBO - New Born Observations Certified, Solihull Approach Parenting) and ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences), Trauma Informed Practice, Parenting Under Pressure (PUP) Certified. 

Eligibility

Parents and Carers of children aged 0-5 years, in Clonmel, Cahir, Cashel, Fethard, Carrick-on-Suir and surrounding rural areas.

Referrals

Self referrals; referrals from other agencies.

Mother & Baby/Parent & Toddler Groups

Hosted by the Community Mother Programme.  Parents no longer need to feel isolated, children have the opportunity to play in a safe, happy environment.  Mother & Baby/Parent & Toddler Groups form the stepping stones to preschool/primary school. Everyone is welcome.  It is a good place to meet other parents and carers.
