Community Mother Programme is a professional parent support service offered to all families with children 0-5 years. Community Mothers take a holistic approach providing home visits and group based supports. The ethos of the programme is to be inclusive.

The Programme History:
Clonmel Community Mother Programme has been in operation since September 1999. The programme is a limited company with charitable status and governed by a voluntary board of management. The programme was initially funded by the SEHB in association with the Bernard Van Leer Foundation (HSE) and in more recent years by TUSLA Child and Family Agency. Additional funding was provided for a joint initiative Clonmel & Nenagh Community Mother Programmes from the Tony Ryan Fund for Tipperary through the Community Foundation of Ireland to bring services to the areas of Cahir, Cashel and Thurles.
