Breastfeeding Support & Information

If you are considering breastfeeding your baby, a Community Mother is available to meet before the birth to provide support and information.

When you come home with your baby, a Community Mother is available to provide you with breastfeeding support in those early days, through home visits or telephone support. If you have any questions however big or small please feel free to contact us and one of our team will be happy to offer you support and information. Breastfeeding support is also available in our Mother & Baby groups in Clonmel & Cashel.

Promoting Infant Mental Health

Clonmel Community Mothers work from an Infant Mental Health Model to support Child and Parent Attachment

Parent Plus Early Years

An evidenced based parenting programme promoting confidence learning and positive behavior in young children aged 1-6 years.

Topics include

  • being a responsive parent,
  • Child centered play and communication
  • supporting children’s self esteem and confidence
  • promoting children’s language and development
  • helping children concentrate and learn
  • building cooperation in young children
  • establishing daily routines
  • managing tantrums, misbehavior and problems
  • enjoy parenting
